After School Programs

After School is available to children in Kindergarten through Fifth Grade (Ages 5-12). Monday through Friday 2:45PM to 5:30PM while Ashland Schools are in session.
The cost is $40 per child per week for Y Members and $60 per child per week for Non-Members.
Comfortable clothing and tennis shoes are preferred as we will be playing hard!

We strive to provide a safe fun-filled, positive place for your child to come to each evening after school. We will wait at the main YMCA entrance for the buses for your child’s safety. Each day your child will be provided with a healthy snack and drink as well as a chance to relax and watch some TV after a long day at school. On Mondays, homework help will come next. If your child does not have homework, reading a book will be encouraged. Throughout the year we will do some art projects and various other activities throughout the building. Otherwise, we will wrap up each evening with free play or group games. Overall, we want to provide your child with a fun-filled, learning rich environment for them to grow and thrive.

Things to keep in mind for the After School Program:

We have a limited amount of space available so all registrants are charged for the entire week each Monday whether the child attends or not to hold their spot. Balances cannot be tolerated.

If you are a state subsidy recipient, you must provide your contract prior to beginning care.

You must provide a copy of your child’s immunization record which must include the Commonwealth of Kentucky Seal and expiration date.

We will allow for one week of vacation time per school year (Jan-Dec).

 Currently, Hager, Poage, Charles Russell, Oakview and Crabbe are the only schools that provide transportation to the YMCA. You can contact your school board to find out if your school can too.

The After School Program ends at 5:30PM. You will be charged $2 for each child for each minute you are late past 5:30PM. If you do not pick up your child by 6:30PM authorities will be contacted.
