About our Fitness & Wellness Coordinator

Jodi has been a YMCA member for over 25 years. She is a graduate of Marshall University, a wife and mother of three, and recently retired from a career in the field of developmental disabilities. Since retiring, Jodi’s interest in health and wellness resulted in her obtaining a variety of certifications, including RYT 200 yoga instructor training. As a YMCA group fitness instructor, she finds encouraging others in their fitness journey to be extremely rewarding.
In her free time, Jodi enjoys spending time with her family and participating in outdoor activities such as hiking and kayaking. In addition, Jodi is committed to giving back to her community. She and her children serve as YMCA volunteers and in Outreach activities at their church. One of her favorite quotes is by Mahatma Gandhi: “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others”.
